Conference: "Treuhänderische" Übernahme und Verwahrung  ("Fiduciary" Takeover and Safekeeping - International and Interdisciplinary View)

Since 2004, the University Library of the University of Vienna has been conducting NS-Provenience research and checking its own holdings from 1938-1945 for questionable acquisitions. In May 2017, the University Library addressed the question of how to deal with cultural assets from libraries, museums and Jewish institutions that had been "held in trust" and organised a conference on the subject.
