Description
Main body of plane is a rectangular solid with edges at the front, sloping off above and to the rear. The profiled plane sole is raised slightly in the middle and furnished with two striae across the entire length. The profiled plane iron on the blade also has two striae that taper after 2.3 cm into a ca. 9mm wide iron band. They are fixed with a wooden wedge. Large cylindrical opening above the shaving passage. Both sides of the plane's main body are decorated with punched motifs and motifs in flat cut: above a row of semi-circles, below a row of scales enclosed by a row of semi-circles on each side. The left side of the plane's main body in chip carving the name "JOHANN ORLAND", the right side with "1721". The plane iron has a hallmark on the underside of the upper end.
