Description
Red burning earthenware, flat, broad base, rough, small bulge at the base, pot-bellied body with a low center of gravity, high narrow neck with superimposed head. Spout designed like a shield, triangular cut out filling orifice, three openings for pouring. Double banded, twined handle, winding upward, broken and glued.
Three snakes with holed surfaces are appliquéd on to the main body of the vessel. Greenish glaze, brownish on the snake’s backs. Turkey?
