Description
Russet burning earthenware, flat base, small foot, pot-bellied shape with a long neck, curving outward to form a wide, beak-like spout, end of the neck lidded with an opening for filling on one side and two holes on the side of the spout. Twisted handle. Applications in the form of rosettes, stars and garlands spread over the body. Glossy black-brownish base glaze covered in golden paintwork with botanical motifs. Oriental vessel shape. Turkey?
