Handbook on Judaica Provenance Research

In collaboration with the World Jewish Restitution Organization, the Claims Conference has published the Handbook on Judaica Provenance Research: Ceremonial Objects. This online handbook aims to facilitate (provenance) research for researchers, private individuals, museum staff and other interested parties. Its emphasis lies on Judaica looted or lost during the Nazi period. The handbook covers two aspects: firstly, classic provenance research with a focus on finding the original owners of the objects and, secondly, tracing lost items of Judaica.
