Filiation: Emil Geyer, Vienna. Gabriele Gross, Vienna. Dorotheum, Vienna. Acquired from the so-called Art Museum, Linz (i.e. Hitler's museum project) in 1944. Transferred to the Albertina by the Federal Office for the Protection of Monuments ('Bundesdenkmalamt') in 1963 (Zl. 1274/63. Finally inventorised 1965). A report to the Commission for Provenance Research is available.

In its meeting of June 3rd, 2013 the Advisory Board unanimously reached the following decision: The Advisory Board recommends to the Federal Minister for Education, Science and Culture that the hereinafter called art object from the graphic collection of the Albertina be handed over to the heirs of Josef Blauhorn. The object was handed over to the heirs on July 9th, 2013.
