                    Description
Cupboard for the corner of a room, triangular sectional view, of wood stained in dark brown. Top and bottom board, two compartments. Structured in three vertical axes, each with 'balustrade' of short turned sticks at bottom. Central cut-outs heavily profiled, the edges with gilt lacquer. In the two upper corners lattices of small turned short sticks ('marabīya' technique). Triangular small ajour top piece, in the centre with a small board with scripture in gilt colour, profiled top edge of which is partly broken. Width of the back sides 19.29 in. each. Around 1900. In its meeting of June 24, 2009 the Advisory Board unanimously reached the following decision:  The Advisory Board recommends to the Federal Minister for Education, the Arts and Culture that the mentioned 92 ethnographic objects and 42 books be handed over to the legal successors of Ing. Dr. Georg Popper. The aforementioned objects are listed in the enclosed file and designated with NSV Hernals (probably Ing. Georg Popper).
