Description

Strips of fine linen, two lengthways and one crossways decorated with a sickle-shaped ornament in red cross stitch, trimmed with a white crocheted border. Six vased scions with small flower motifs are arranged on two adjacent sides (red cross stitch). In the center "IHS" symbol embroidered with a cross, above, level with the cross, left "INRI" and right "1882", below, the initials "F.R. and F.A." all thread that was once red but has since faded.
