Description

Special production for an oven top with soot traces on the interior. Earthenware, russet burning, high cylindrical pot shape, flat base, squared cut out opening. Oven closed at the top with a dome. Thick cylindrical wall in several rings made on the potter’s wheel, then stacked and painted on the interior. On the exterior irregular transitions are visible. The flue is mounted under the dome at an approx. 120° angle to the vessel. There are several appliqués over the entire area in the form of a wreath, masques, the figure of Justitia, a pelican and a star. Covered with a glossy brown glaze.
