Description

Jug, pear-shaped, strap handle with a screw end. Faience, painted with high-fire glaze. Motif: man with a yellow skirt, green breeches and grey stockings standing in the countryside holding a jug in his right hand and a hat in his left. Above the words, “Du edler gerstensaft wie gibst du mein [heart symbol] ein kraft.“ Above the image are green and manganese-brown bands. Handle decorated with green horizontal stripes. Gmunden, Upper Austria.
