Filiation: Estate of the artist (?). Private property, Berlin (according to Guido Joseph Kern's review on the Munich exhibition of 1932, in: 'Weltkunst' (an art magazine), 4 (1932), n. 38, from September 18, 1932). 'D., Götschendorf' (according to the auction catalogue published by Hans W. Lange, Berlin, auction 25 September 1941, lot 31). Acquired from the so-called Art Museum, Linz (i.e. Hitler's museum project) in 1941. Transferred to the Albertina by the Federal Office for the Protection of Monuments ('Bundesdenkmalamt') in 1963 (Zl. 1274/63. Finally inventorised in 1965). A report to the Commission for Provenance Research is available.

In its meeting on 7 March 2014, the Art Restitution Advisory Board issued the following unanimous decision: the Federal Minister at the Federal Chancellery is recommended to restitute the following art object from the graphic art collection of the Albertina to the legal successors of Adele Pächter. The object was restituted to the legal successors in 2014
